About LinkBacksHey guys, trying to play catch up real quick here now that I have some boost to play with.
Curious as to what type of IAT/ACT temps you guys are seeing under boost. Can you guys post up what IAT/ACT you are seeing at what boost levels, what gear you were in when measured and what Intercooler/heat exchanger set up you are running?
My concern is that I am in dangerous territory.....and/or very limited in the timing I can run on pump gas due to the excessive heat in the air.
My setup:
GSM Novi 1500 6-8psi
GSM Intercooler with upgraded 2 core heat exchanger
IAT/ACT: +15-20deg above ambient at idle
120-130 deg at top of 1st gear
180 deg at top of 2nd gear
160-170 in 3rd gear (cooler water must be hitting the intercooler here)
What are you guys seeing????

Water meth will make a huge difference, especially if you run overdrive pulley. I ran it for 150,000 miles on my last Toyota Tacoma.

I got the same set up chris, where did you install your IAT sensor? for now mine is laying off to the side till i find a good home for her.

IAT is currently plumbed into silicone coupler between the intercooler outlet and TB opening.
Meth injection currently plumbed in but I have that plumbed into a throttle body spacer so not seeing the actual temps after meth injection. Seriously considering moving meth inj location to the coupler and put IAT back into the throttle body spacer to see if I can get a feel for actual IAT/ACTs.

I was thinking the same too, but my meth nozzle fits really nice in that "gsm extra injector spacer " thing that i kinda dont wanna move it. gotta nail down a po300 code before i hook up the IAT, but when i do ill let you know how those temps are. Nick

Chris,
sdcarguy has done alot of testing and R&D on his Vortech kit, with and without the meth kit. I bet he's got alot of the data your looking for. I believe Lafrads his tuner as well.

Chris's 300 should be a beast eve more. Is he supercharged with all the other goodies in his sig? He has to be thinking of beefing up that bottom end next huh.

We monitored Powerhouse's on the dyno and in fourth gear we were seeing about 30 degree's over ambient under full Boost with a tiny fan in front of the car
