Since the 5.7 kits won't even work on a 5.7, no chance for a 392.

I think the confusion is that the blower head unit itself, and brackets, parts, etc. will all fit. The fuel system and engine calibration will not work.

Hemi31 has done this, and we have a car being finished up now with a GS kit (just the S/C related parts)

PM me if you need some help,

Sublime, given that the mounting parts/location is the same for 5.7/6.1 the only question you need to ask yourself is how much power are you looking to get out of it. In the end the paxton doesn't know/care what motor its on..... it will flow the same air regardless....determined by dampner/drive pulley sizes.

The GSM kit for the 5.7's typically came with the Novi 1200 which flows enough air to support 680hp, no matter what motor its on. http://www.paxtonauto.com/superchargers_novi_1200.html

    Hope that helps.

I would assume they are rating that at 680hp at the crank.

I don't have one, but since my last two outings at the track I have been bitten BAD buy the raceing bug. My 5.7/392 isn't make the HP and TQ numbers some of the big guys are, and I was only able to make a 11.98 on my first time out, the secound time at Sealy (Henneys Track Houston) I broke my shaft on launch, but I have a sweet pic, Im trying to down load of my front tire comeing off the ground. Dyno only showed in bad wather, 410hp and 438 TQ at starting at 3,000rpms.

So I have some time, wateing for DSS to send me my axles, and Im trying to exsplore my options.

I want to be in the mid to low 10's, Yes Thanks to the help of some, Im in the proccess of getting a cage made.

Im wroking on a 350hp 2 stage shot set up, but Im not sure if thats going to get me there. And I saw someone sell there 5.7supercharger set up for $2500, so my mind is raceing, what to do next to get the numbers up.

    Thanks Mike

Adding the S/C to what you're already doing should easily get you there, you will need some incidental items with the supercharger, but we can help you guys with all that.

11.98 for the first time out????? Screw the numbers.... that is a great starting point. Just ask how many other strokers (392, 426 or any of them) hit 11's first time out. Bet you are in an exclusive club right there. While mid 10's might be a reach for the motor only combo, no reason to think there aren't a few .1's in refinement sitting there for you.

While I have never been a huge fan of the centri style superchargers in the past........let me tell you, that all changed this fall. That NOVI 1500 is capable of some crazy numbers.

    Good luck.

Thanks. I still only have a mail tune, and FRI is in the process of helping finish my secret squire intake, and I just got my front runners thanks to Power Wagon. I took the car to shop for a cage, but I want to put it in the autoroma in Houston and there's no time. I can't wage for some cold air. I think I'm just going to foucse on my nitrous Thanks Mike

I'm in the process of doing the Novi 1200 on my 6.1L as well, it should work nicely for me until I can upgrade my rods/pistons in the future. I just picked up some SRT-4 blue top injectors (stage 1), SRT-4 2 bar map sensor to allow for the additional boost. The last thing I need to find is the bolts as my setup was just the bracket, head unit and intercooler.
