I would get a wideband in the car. Just so you are aware. A stock 5.7 with longtubes, ford cobra injectors(similar in size to your srt4's) and a 392 pump was running out of fuel at 8psi in cool air. Now when I say running out of fuel the curve would start in the mid 11's and end up with 12.2- 12.5......not really a happy place with boost. I would keep the timing light to start till you see what you have for fuel.

I have decided to try the 1/2-1 psi boost upgrade pulley first before going to the 2 psi boost upgrade pulley. The new pulley should be here tomorrow or the next day (was back-ordered for weeks) and that is the last of the parts I need. This works out great because it looks like rain the rest of the week. So, I will be going out into the garage and working on it and should have it done by the weekend...stay tuned!

I've been following this thread for awhile and really appreciate the info. Where did you order from ... about the best price I can find in Canada is $10000. Go 5 mins over the border and it's $7500.
I really shopped it a lot and it seems that Edelbrock controls the pricing. So, it doesn't really matter where you order it from, there is not much savings. Just be sure to use a good vendor like HHP, Arrington, RDP, Etc. One vendor tried offering it to me over retail and I do not have them listed here, shame on them for trying such things! If you do not mind traveling, you can ship it here and either pick it up or have it installed here locally. That is a huge price difference!
Traveling is no problem, I have a address I can ship to in the states. I am wondering what the differences are between the 6.1 kit and the 5.7 (probs have to call edelbrock). It might be down the road I would want to upgrade to a 6.1 based stroker and would not want to upgrade the super ...
The parts are all here and installed. I am trying it with the 2psi pulley first and seeing how the fuel turns out. I will note that the lock ring for the fuel pump was a pain in the buttocks, probably would have been easier with the proper tool. I have driven it around the block a couple times so far and datalogged. I will post more information here later.
It did not seem to run any hotter with the stock Edelbrock tune. I do have a 185 thermostat though, so it may have been harder to notice. When I was done installing the supercharger and tune it ran just like normal in almost every way. The only things that were different were the power, obviously, and the tip-in to the power, which was very abrupt.
I have the 2psi pulley and larger throttle body installed along with the 392 fuel pump and custom tune. I am headed back to the dyno, hopefully this week, to see what difference the changes have made. I had an appointment for this weekend and was excited to post the numbers but had to cancel due to the weather.
Hey guys hopefully you can help. What is the diameter of the upper and lower pulleys that come with the kit?
Hey Grnmchn sorry to keep asking you so many questions. What temps is your engine oil running at?
I have my dyno results finally. The car made 510hp and 490tq on the local Mustang dyno. However, it was definitely running out of fuel! The system, the way it is, seemed to support about 485-490hp but nothing more. With the 3.5" pulley, it does have 7.5 psi of boost or about 2 psi more than stock. So, I will either have to go to a smaller pulley or add more fuel. I will post some dyno sheets soon.
Told ya.A -6an line front to back may get you just enough for the 7.5 pulley. Anymore than that and you will need more pump or injector.....could very well be the injectors giving up at that power level. Did you have a pressure guage on the rail to see if the pressure was falling off? Did you log injector pulsewidth at all?
