The side pieces are made of aluminum (they looked like plastic in the pictures) and they are removable. They just snap in like the original covers. When they are removed there are a couple of tabs that are visible. I will take a couple pictures tonight with them off and PM them to you.

The Predator tuner they supply in the kit looks the same but is labeled EDL7135 instead of U7135. It seems to have a very limited menu. There is no place to adjust the fans or eliminate the skip shift feature. I do realize this is probably for compliance with emissions standards. So, I exported the Edelbrock tune and then added it to my other tuner then reloaded it to the car to get all the features. Again, it is a minor issue but interesting if anyone is considering one of these kits.
This is common with any tuner kit. Fyi, DO NOT ever sell it to anyone as a true Predator. Not only are the menu's limited, you can not do any custom tuning with this unit. I'd recommend considering a Trinity tuner and custom tune.

It makes absolutely no noise that I can hear. I have some video of it idle outside the car but nothing great. It is supposed to be nice weather here so I will take some this weekend and post them up so you can see what I am talking about. If you rode in the car and I did not tell you, it would be impossible for you to know it had a supercharger. There is a little more belt noise at idle but once the hood is shut it is almost impossible to notice.

I have a "normal" U7135 Predator and swapped the tune to that one for now. I will work on a custom tune this week before hitting the dyno.

That's probably my favorite blower right now just from the basics that I've read. I really like that they offer a "competition kit" for considerably less that strips it of items many of us change any way such as the injectors, pulley's, Predator and others.

During the install there was a bolt missing from the kit. I finally called Edelbrock for the missing bolt that was needed and was a little surprised at the poor customer service. I was able to find a reasonable replacement at the hardware store but felt it would still be better to get the proper bolt from the manufacturer. Also, this kit did cost $7000.00, so having it be complete is probably not too much to ask. I was actually surprised at how hard it was to get someone to help and the fact that they really were not over anxious to send the missing piece. In my opinion, they need to work on their customer service at Edelbrock. This missing bolt could have ruined my whole weekend! It definitely cost me a few dollar for the temporary replacement, fuel to get to the store and all the time and phone calls. I finally had to call the dealer I purchased the kit from (which is not supposed to be necessary) and they were very helpful and they made arrangements for me to get the bolt. Four phone calls, an email and a few days later, the $.15 bolt arrived. Absolutely ridiculous!

Yeah, I've been hearing similar stories from a couple of other Edelbrock owners. One is actually having his removed and going with a stroker instead.

Here are some videos of the car running, accelerating, and cruising. Everyone that has heard the car is amazed at how much louder it is but cannot hear the supercharger. I can hear the exhaust is louder from inside the vehicle too. It still has the stock track pack exhaust system. I put the videos on my file share, hope providing a link to it is okay. The password is "lxforums" to download them. It is not me driving in most of the videos, it is a friend. For some reason, I found it hard to take video and drive the supercharged 6spd at the same time. https://www.onlinefilefolder.com/3st4o12EowfI9w

The appointment for the dyno is all set for next week. Here is a picture of the original baseline from last year.

Living in the north country has its ups and downs! I had to postpone the dyno on Friday due to a snow storm. I will try another appointment sometime this week. However, it was a beautiful and cold day today so I used this opportunity to hit the track. This was my first day at the track with the supercharger and the best run was 12.2 @ 118 mph. I will scan and post the slips sometime this week. I am extremely happy with the results so far!
