    Is Zex 125 shot safe to run?

    Hi guys, was just wondering if any of you are running the Zex 125hp pills on a SRT8. Guess my main concern is if its safe to run that much nitrous on a stock 6.1 Hemi. Todd at RDP has flashed a good safe tune with afr's in 11.5 range and no knock retard whatsoever, i know our pistons are weak with shallow ring land area, do you guys think i have anything to worry about? I have the 125 jets in now and running 98octane gas (93oct) with 105 unleaded race fuel on standby and will be running it at the track this weekend. Any insight on this? Scottrod1

    I have on my 5.7 but have been told it's not a good idea.

    I've made several passes on the 125 shot. I've even made a couple with a 175 shot. On the 125 shot I pulled 4 degrees of timing with the predator and ran on pump gas.

    You will be fine with a 125 setup with the ZEX jet chart.. 54/26 I believe...

    Is that an 11.5 AFR with the jug?

    I like youre times on the the 125 shot, thats where i wanna be. Whats youre launch technique? Are you running stock half shafts?

    Well my first pass on 125 shot got me a 12.38 @ 117 mph, next pass was 12.20 @ 113mph which is my best time to date. Previous best was 12.55 @113 mph on the 75 shot. Was hoping to crack the 11 sec zone but it was not to be. I walk her of the line for fear of breaking my stock half shafts so i guess alot of time is lost there. Got halfshafts coming as well as the new RDP nitrous plate, hope this gets me there!

    Yup...11.5 while injecting N2O...not a hint of KR. Todd at RDP really nailed a safe tune, i ran the same tune on the dyno for 75/100/125 shot. Ran rich for the 2 smaller shots, and just right for the 125.

    I was running the stock halfshafts when I ran those times. I just upgraded to the DSS axles. On the stock shafts, I would ease it to the floor and hit the nitrous about 30 feet out.

    My best is a 11.73 with a 1.73 60' with D/R's and stock axles..Yes I was pushing my luck IMO....I now run a 175 shot.About 15 passes so far with out issues

    What jets u running? My jetts only go to 125 shot. What times u gettin now?

    i dont think he's had a good track outting on the new pills yet.
