    Progressive controller

I'm thinking about going with a progressive controller on my nitrous setup. I've started spraying a 175 shot and traction is now an issue. I would like to launch on the 100 then have the other 75 come on once I get rolling.

I was wondering if I could do this without going to a two stage setup and just adjust the shot with the controller. Has anybody tried one? If so, could you give a recommendation to which one you liked?

I've looked at a couple of them and they said not compatible with the zex kit. I did find a cold fusion one and it didn't have any disclaimers. I was going to research that one a little more. I hoping someone may have used one with the Zex. If not, I may just try a two stage system.

You may want to check out a UK company. They boast huge spray on stock bottom ends by doing it pulsed or progressively. They are Wizards of NOS. I am trying to find out as much about them as possible myself for upcoming Pinks all out at Bandimere in Denver.

I've already contacted JMatt on the torque converter. I'll probably see what stuff I need for the second stage. I'll shoot him a PM later. I just wanted to be sure that was the route I wanted to go.

    Rare Air,
Do you know the name of the UK company?

Do alot of research on Trevor and the Wizards of NOS before purchasing, not saying he sells bad product, but they do make claims that don't always hold up.

On the ZEX/Progressive controllers...its not the the progressives aren't compatible with the ZEX kit...its that the ZEX NMU is not able to be progressed.

A progressive controller works by pulsing the ground signal to the solenoids.....if you connect the progressive control wire to the black wire on the ZEX box you will pulse the ground to the ZEX electronics, and could cause major issues with the NMU.

Multistage is the only option if you want to keep the ZEX NMU....or replace the NMU with a stand alone set of solenoids and add a progressive that includes a window switch and TPS activation.

Thanks Ray. That's exactly the information I needed. Looks like my best bet would be to add a window switch and a second stage. Looks like I'll be making another purchase from Nitrous Outlet.

Wizard of NOS is full of himself, and full of crap. The REAL racers (hard core Pro Mod drag racers running 5.99 in the 1/4 mile) have examined his claims, and found out most of it is crap.

His stuff sounds great in theory, but apparently when put to the test, he fails.
