    Nitrous Nozzel Positions

Well i see this come up often not only on this board but on alot of boards. So... where is the correct place to mount the nitrous nozzel so that u get the best flowing stream i would say.

    For example

If u look at the pic above it looks like this would be a bad positon. The reason i say this is because it looks like the stream ill just call it that would just hit the wall of the hose letting some of it go around that bend and down into the air cleaner. But maybe im wrong, because the force of air that being shoved through the cai wouldnt let the nitrous go the wrong way. What do u guys think?

Maybe someone can make this a sticky for people to see wheres a good place to mount their nozzel.

if I read your post right, you have the nozzle facing towards the air filter? it should face towards the TB, but no that is the correct place to mount it. I had it mounted near the air filter and it actually puddles fuel around that bend. Have it fire directly into the tb and youll be ok

The nozzle is in the correc position. Mine is the same with the exception of a 7 o'clock position instead of the 9 o'clock position in the pic.

I'm gathering from your post that you feel the nozzle sprays in a straight line in relation to it's body. They actually spray 90 degrees from the linear direction of the nozzle.

I put mine in the 6 o clock position spraying into throttle body. Then I covered it with a heat shield aluminum hose deal, hides it well, just looks like part of smog controls. Went thru tech inspection at local track and left hood up in staging lanes. no one discovered it.

Not that it is a real big deal but you want to mount the nozzle either at the 7/8 oclock postion or the 1/2 oclock postion. The reason for this the TB opens at a angle,so you dont want the N20 to bounce of the tb blade.Your looking for a direct shot. However I
dont think its the end of the world if its not exact..

True but I have a feeling that is left over info from there universal kit.As we know 6 inches is around the bend on our intakes And that isnt the best place for it..You dont want the spray crossing your iat senser anyways..

I have positioned mine about 8 inches back from the TB and faced the nozzel into the stream and it seems to work great.

What is the reasoning behind that Scott? At the present time mine sprays across it until I get the plate. Thanks.

The Reason why would be that the iat dictates how much timing to pull to prevent knock due to high intake temp, the N20 will cool it down to the point where it will not pull any timing which is usually not a good thing depending on the actual temps.
Plus I dont think the spray and fuel hitting the actual sensor over time is a good thing, might wear prematurely.
Main concern is the lack of timing being pulled..Hope this helps..
