    Nitrous install questions.....

Ok I have couple questions for the nitrous pros.

1.How OK is it to put your bottle in the spare tire well sideways like in the pic below.(Or am I better off just putting it on top - I like the fact you can't see it-major plus)Or on the angle-semi sideways???

2.Zex kit that I have comes with a fuel line disconnect tool.Is it any good to use or should I get one from Autozone ahead of time?

3.I have a C&L intake witch has a place on it for the nozzle right above the sensor. Is it OK to use that? not too close to TB ? I think it was put there for the nozzle.

    Pictures below.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

Hey Chris,Its hard to tell but the place on the CAI for the nozzle,Is it before or after the AIT?The nozzle needs to be between the AIT and the TB.The bottle mounted sideways will work ok,Its not the ideal position but it will work. You will need to clock
the tube in the bottle so it will be able to get as much N20 as possIble under acceleration..If the tool they gave you works,Use it..lol Cant hurt to try and save a couple bucks..Hope this helps Scott

Actually i see the AIT in the pick now.If the N20 and fuel does NOT spray over the AIT then that location should be fine..

Ditto on the above. Try and mount the bottle front to back if you can swing it.

Hemidon has a pretty slick set up on the side that didn't compromise too much trunk space in his Charger.

You will be fine with the bottle side to side as long as the pickup tube is angled closer to the rear of the car.

how big of a shot? For a 100 shot or less you wont really need a window switch but it is safer to have one.

I have heard of people who mounted the bottle sideways that cannot get the final 2 lbs of n2o out of the bottle, so they end up mounting it forward anyways later. The tool that comes with the zex kit will work, but it sucks and I broke it in 2 seconds, so i went to autozone anyways. Just make sure you are careful with it

When having to mount the bottle side ways the key is to rotate the niple towards the back of the car. The bottles inner pick up tube has a 45 degree bend at the end that matches the direction of the nipple. With the bottle mounted this way when the car launches and the G-force pulls the liquid nitrous to the back side of the bottle the pick up tube will still pull the liquid nitrous. Since the bottle is not mounted Valve forward there may be a small point of use earlier that the pick up tube does not get the liquid nitrous. However I do not think it would be that noticable of a difference.

That is what I was thinking as well .
I mounted the bottle on a slight angle (still sideways) and rotated the nipple little bit to account for g-force.
