    Nitrous Install Complete

So a fellow SLCLX member decided he wanted to get a little more get up and go in his R/T Charger. Orders the Zex Nitrous kits and started looking for an installer here in SLC. The shop he found wanted to charge him $115 an hour. Yes, that is probably a pretty standard cost for labor, but I didn't feel he needed to pay that. SO, my big mouth says...... "Hey, I bet I can install that for you, save you some cash". Keep in mind, I have never done ANYTHING like this before, and as far as working on an engine, I have changed spark plugs and oil, really, thats about it.

So Sunday morning we got started. My intention was to take pictures of the entire process, but you know how it goes. Once you get started, pictures are the last thing on your mind. So what I do have is the finally set up. The wires and hoses still need to be cleaned up a bit, and tucked away, but the install was a HUGE success. Total time was about 8 hours. I could not be happier. I am so proud of myself right now.

Greg i had my nozzle where you have yours and moved it closer to the TB and gained around 30hp ! Also it looks like your nozzel is pointed up istead of straight in ...But I could be wrong on that.

Nitrous works on just about anything ! You can even put it on your lawn mower Just dont get carried away. I wouldnt go over a 100 shot on your V-6. As far as the crashing part .... well thats up to you . Your the one driving the car

I would get it closer to the TB and aimed the right way. You have to be careful when putting it closer to the TB so it doesn't spray over the sensor.

I saw in the book "High-Performance New Hemi Builder's Guide 2003-Present" that the installers actually turned the sensor 180 degrees to counteract that....anyone else done this or heard of this?

Not sure that would work because if I remember right, the sensor is not shielded in any way, it'sm open so any spray would go right over it. Maybe someone can chime in and correct me if i'm wrong.

I would say 386 at the wheels with the mods you have is pretty dam good. You never really get the actual hp from the shot as advertised. At least on the Zex setups.
