Loud whistle sound with nitrous throttle plate??

Does the nitrous plate give off an annoying whistle when u accelerate?? I tightened up all the nitrous lines and it lessened a little but it still whistles. I just want to know if this is normal because if not i probably over torqued the throttle body and messed up the plastic intake and now air is leaking out. It even makes the sound when i turn the car off like air is escaping from somewhere.

On some applications I have had customers say they heard a whistling noise. Its not something that happens on all applications but it does happen from time to time. Its the air cutting across the exit holes in the plate. Varify there is no vacumme leak and if there is not one that is the noise you are hearing.

I think that might be it! I was thinking of letting the engine cool off and then seal every possible leak point with rubber electrical shrink tape and then have someone rev the engine while i listen for it.

I had my friend rev it earlier and the sound seems to be coming out of the afe cone filter, so it must be the exit holes in the plate. i wish i had a camera to post it on here. If anyone in the south florida area has one and wants to document this phenomenom, im game. The sound isnt so loud that u can hear it with the windows up, but it just had me a little worried it was leaking somewhere in the exhaust. If thats truly the case then i can live with it.

Is there any other way to pinpoint an intake leak?

You can try taking a couple of feet of vacuum hose and putting one end in your ear and move the other end around the areas of the intake. Hopefully it will help you pinpoint where the leak is coming from. I know it's a good way to find an exhaust leak. Hopefully, it will work on an intake leak too.

North Miami Beach, do u also have a stage 2 afe cai or similar??

Right now on my way home it sounded really loud, to me it sounds like the air is going into the little holes in the N2O plate and going up the tube thru the jets and the lil holes in the jets are making the whistling sound.

U have no idea the trouble i went thru putting that throttle body on. The metal threaded clips on the plastic manifold that hold the bolt in are ruined because i over torqued it and i had to use nuts instead. The two bottom ones took me forever to get on, i dont ever want to go thru that again.

Did you remember to plug the sensor back into the intake tube? The only reason I ask is because I actually forgot to plug this back in when I put on my plate. When I drove it, I had a loud whistling noise. Yea, I felt like an idiot forgetting it. It's just one more thing to check.

Yea its in there really snug. I can relate to that, i made an even bigger boneheaded mistake, i was in such a rush to finish i overtorqued the throttle body so bad i ruined the threads lol I need to lay off them weights for a while
