    It Lives!!

Got the nitrous working today minus the window switch. Zex is replacing it no problem, thank you guys! We just ran it with out it and made sure the rpms were up. Boy what a differance 75 hp. makes. I may go up to 100 with a custom tune. It sure was worth the money. I cant believe how fast it hits 100mph. Its like a completely differant car. I talked to the guy that put the nitrous on and he said ok now let do a cam. Alrighty , so it looks like a cam is next on the list. Its going to be a fun summer after I get all the mods done. I can see a 12 second 300c. Tim

I ran 100shot in my 5.7 Dodge Ram without any tune at all!! It has 110,000 mi and still runs great!! Bump your shot up to 100 and pull like 2deg out of your timing in the higher rpms with the Diablo Predator.... (Just to be safe)... ZEX is rated at the crank... With my 125 shot I only got 80whp:( So you are good to go bro.... Now Im using the Nitrous Outlet kit... (rated at wheel)

Before your cam.... Hit up Modern Muscle and get a 6.1 ported Mani and a bigger TB...... This will be a great upgrade and later will greatly help your cam chioce!!! I just installed my MM ported mani and 87mm TB! I am in love.... The car runs so much better and you can feel the power it frees up

    Step 1: Modern Muscle 1+ Manifold & 85mm TB
Step 2: Cam and supporting head upgrades or New high performance Heads
    Step 3: TQ Converter
Step 4: Sticky Tires (NT555R or HOSSIER)
    Step 5: GO REALLY FAST!!!!!

This is just my opinion... Goodluck

I will check out the manifold and throttle body. I have an 85 mm throttle body from my sc laying around here. Maybe it will work with some mods. I have heard theses engines really respond to camshafts. Keeping that in mind I want to spend money where it will give me the most bang for the buck. Tim

Thats great... Get a 6.1 mani and put that 85mm tb to use! Then a nice dyno tune and your ready to rock ha... Im always tight on cash so I gotta do my build in steps.... If you can do it all at once get the cam as well.. U will love the mani and tb combo... It will also complement the cam and pull all of the power out of her:0) I cant wait to cam the beast!!!!!

I talked to Tim at Mr. Norms and made an apointment for the 31st. for a dyno tune. Iam going t go with 100 shot. I know there are a lot of good tuners out there but I just feel more comfortable having it done hands on. I may even see what parts I can put on this thing next. Tim ps Great Lakes dragway opens up in about 2 weeks and it will be free for the first week. Tim

How much is a ported 6.1 manifold going to affect airflow if using stock 5.7 heads???? If you can't afford ported 5.7 heads you may find a deal on some stock 6.1 heads which would really help out!

I have seen them floating around here numerous times. With paitence you could find a good deal. Just something to think about especially when doing a cam swap.

I have to say I really dont know enough about my engine. I didnt know 6.1 heads would fit on a 5.7. As far as a intake and cam, Iam going to get what I have working good first. I know I want a cam with more duration on the exhaust side with the nitrius. Now I have to ask myself rather than all these bolt ons maybe I shoud look at another engine. forged stroker? I just dont know how far I want to go at this point. That said Iam always up for a real steal on parts. Tim
