Fuel pressure guage??

I noticed my car running suspiciously sluggish last nite and i was having voltage issues where my lights were dimming. Turns out this morning i notcied a pool of gas on top of one of my coil packs, right under mynitrous fuel solenoid. Turns out it was tightened sufficiently or loosened up spmehow and was leaking a small amount of fuel. So i broke out the wrench and tightened that sucker down hard. Hopefully it wont get loose again, not sure if i should reseal with teflon paste or what? Got me kind of worried since i must of been driving like that for a while and could have ignited!!! Does someone make a fuel pressure guage so that i can monitor this incase it happenes again on a long trip or something.

Also does our cars computer compencate for a leaky line, or was i running dangerously lean on wot??

Which one do u recomend for a 5.7 Charger? whats our fuel pressure range 50psi-60 something??

Depends on what look you are going for...do you have other gauges already that you are trying to match? 0-100 PSI would be the style to choose.

interesting quesiton, because after installing my fuel rails, i have been super paranoid about my fuel leaking, because it has already. I carry an extinguisher in my car now haha. I know our cars run at 58 psi, but I am not sure if there is a leak if the pressure guage will read that, I dont know what the range will and wont start from according to the fuel pressure it sees. As far as guages, they are always a good idea. Im getting mine from dynotune to match my n2o and wideband

Forget regular teflon tape for fuel line, teflon will degarade when in contact with petro products

+1 Dont use teflon tape! No need for any tape on the AN fittings

agreed. just unscrew and screw it down again. Never use teflon on those, only NPT, because fuel will break it down and it could get sucked into the line

Got a little new for you guys.A Fuel pressure guage will not tell you if
you have a leak and the rail or a N20 fitting.It will only tell you what
your fuel pump is doing.Due to where you connect the fitting for the guage..Make sense??

True you could have plenty of pressure coming from the pump, but if an injector is loose or something else fuel could be spewing everywhere.

yea thats what i figured. I wasnt sure of the answer. So is there any gauge that will tell you if you have a leak in the fuel lines? I know you will smell it and will see the smoke burning if it is bad, but it would be nice if there was something that could warn or notify you of a little leak

Agreed.But a guage would not tell you if anything was spewing
past the fitting..

Ok now that we know detecting it is not the right question to ask, The real question is how do we make it bulletproof as possible. What are the most known leak proof setups?? I want to build mine as if it came from the factory plumbded up for nitrous.

send your manifold to nitrous outlet and let them plumb a direct port set up for you haha. I just have to keep checking under my hood every day or so. Makes me worried because there is this everlasting smell of fuel inside my car when I get in every morning, which makes me think there is a leak somewhere. I look and dont see anything. Just always have to check I guess to be safe
