    Dam bottle opener

    Well, I made the silly mistake of putting the remote bottle opener in. HUGE MISTAKE. I can see myself buying stock in the local industrial gas company I go to. Thank goodness it's only 29.95 per 10 lb bottle. It is really cool though. I just have to read up on the adjusting of the opener so it doesn't close it too tight. Any hints?

    What kind of opener is it? Not that I have any hints, just curious which one you bought.

    It's a Zex opener. Not sure of the model # though.

    Yea I am actually selling mine so I dont use it everywhere. Thing is a b!tch to get tightened onto the bottle at first, unless mine is just a difficult one

    Gary, I'll bet the tech line at Zex would be able to answer your question. I kinda wish that I had the automatic opener, but it keeps you honest on the street, not being to turn it on instantly. If someone wants to mess with me, I tell em see you at the track on the weekend.

    Ya, the zex opener is unreliable to say the least. I used mine for a couple weeks before I dumped it. It kept overtightening the valve and then it did not have enough torque to open it back up.

    Thanks. I think I saw it on their website. They have a section with installation instructions. As for keeping things honest on the street? Yeah, I guess so, but I use it when I have an almost empty bottle to run it dry. The place I have my bottles filled doesn't do partially filled bottles so I "empty" it out on the highway.

    Back when mine was a daily driver I was going through 2-3 bottles a week...thats how I met Dave, kept having to go see him to get my bottle filled
