What would you pay for a roots S/C kit for LX

Hey everyone, just wondering what people consider a (good) price for a proven S/C system. This would include everything you need to bolt a S/C on to a stock 6.1 or 5.7 LX. Thanks in advance

    Roots Blower Setup?
Leaves lots of room for discussion.

My Bad.....Didn't see ROOTS in the subject line. (Corrected post)

But I would say 5-6K range, based on reputation.

Sorry for missing the "Root" of the Problem...............

I think that if they could produce a kit that keeps it in the 4000-4500 segment, then it would get crazy. Lots of people would jump for the kit. Its just when they get above 6 grand when people start looking the other way.

He said right in his first post that this blower would be a roots setup. He did not say whose it would be, but he said how much would you pay for a quality setup that was proven to work.

So, theoretically, whats it worth to you?

    Very well stated.

Im not asking for things to be as ridiculously cheap as the Mustang world is (although that would be nice), but I think if you could get a complete roots blower setup for an LX (meaning everything, from fuel system to intercooler to all major hardware components) for 4000-4500, sales would be fantastic.

Would this include everything needed, such as the custom tune and the ability to put it on the car?

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

keeping affordable for the masses would be better for bussiness. I bet you'd sell twice as many if they where 5K aposed to 10K...

I voted for the 55-6000 range because I figured you were refering to a twin screw supercharger (Kenne Bell, Whipple) vs a roots style like eaton that come on a stock cobra or supercharged 3800. 4-4500 would be nice but would probably never happen for a twin screw setup but is quite feesible for a roots style.

Kit would include, roots style blower twin screw (eaton or whipple), injectors, intercooler, belt, tensioner, air duct work, air filter, and computer flash. Would be absolutely everything you need to put this kit on your car.

If you could design and build a full kit for around $4999 you would sell a ton of units( More then enough to recoup r&d money) But you have to show these guys it works and is safe before you bring it out there. I believe the reason more people don't go the Supercharger route is because of the Horror stories that have come from other kits being released before they were tested and tested and tested again. 12 years ago we had the same thing happen to the mustang guys when the 4.6 came out. People were putting to much into them before really knowing what the motors were capable of and they wiped out a bunch of motors. But today there are kits for dead stock mustangs that put out 12 PSI and are streetable everyday.

Quarantee drivablity and reliability and I'd jump on this. Come August, I will be in position to make some changes. But this is my daily driver and I do need to take client out and about without getting stuck somewhere. PM me!
