I assume that atomizes enough with the draw of the AirHammer to prevent any pooling of water in those precious cylinders!!
Still in love with my first wife, and first car ('68 Charger)... Still have the wife!

Didn't someone say cold water enterring a hot aluminum cylinder head can cause the valve seat to shrink and cause a failure? Maybe I'm dreaming or maybe it was a larger quantity of water?
Just asking

Guys this technology has been around since World War II, it is not new.
I have personally put over 6 gallons of water/methanol through my car in testing/racing/everyday driving in the past few months spraying ON the IAT..no damage to it or the car.
The spray is pulling into the motor rather quickly..it only pooled since there was nothing to pull it...do you really think I would post a video of it if I thought it was gonna damage my car?
actually isn't it an alcohol / water mix? The alcohol's evaporation cools it?
I'm not sure the WWII history applys to my q Nathan, I think the WWII planes had cast iron heads with the seat machined right into the cast iron? Or maybe not... I never took an engine out of a B-17 apart, though I've seen them repair them at airshows... the roller lifters make ours look pretty puny
Anyway, do you have any dyno numbers yet, with back to back runs under the same conditions? If so, could you direct me to the thread? (Doesn't have to be your car, any normally aspirated motor would be cool).
Thanks!

Funny you should mention that...I FINALLY have an appointment tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. to get a dyno tune worked on...we shall see.
But hey..the car thinking the air is colder can't be bad and my slight detonation problem has vanished so I am a happy man.
I do have a video I am thinking of posting showing a modification I made to my kit that dropped my AIT from 169* to 100* in 20 seconds...at idle (as in sitting in the staging lane, sitting at a red light...etc.)
If there is any interest I will post it.
I have the old still in the trunk of the car all boxed up just about ready to head to Post Office. Heck I will take another one if it can be shipped out to the shindig.
I need something to keep the engine cool so I can up with the big boys that will be hanging around down here! Since I have to cover for your wise cracking butt stirring up things and then not being here.
Dropping my IAT 67*s in 20 seconds...at idle with Water/Methanol
An interesting thread and video I made.
