    Setup Here/ Setups There

    Ok,

I figured id share whats been on my mind for a while now. Ive been watching the nitrous section as well as the super charger section. I know for a fact that i want to do some modding come next year. Problem is finding out which route to go. At first i thought about heads, cam and a bottle. Really would love to get high to mid 11's for next year. But i started thinking about the long run and where i would like to see my car a couple of years from now. A strocker with a supercharger on it would be ideal for what i would like the end result of my car to be i think. But its seeming like i still wouldnt mind doing it the other way too. I know money plays a part in this. Thats why i was thinkin of just buying the blower and slapping it on the car untill i get the stroker built. I know that this will not put me in the 11 second range next year but will prepare me for what i want to do which is the forced induction strocker.
Or for some one who uses the car as a daily driver should i just slap some heads on it with a cam spray a 100 shot and call it a day?
Looking for some good advice on this issue if any one else is thinking the same thing please chime in. Looking forward from hearing from alot of you guys like Hemidup and others

The first thing to do is ask yourself, what results do you honestly expect from the first round of mods, and how much do you really want to spend on them?

The answers to those questions will narow down your search to a couple combinations, and it will be pretty easy to decide which one is best for you.

I would be happy to answer any questions for you, just ask

Well I can tell you what I did, becuase I too tossed around the idea of Cam and Bottle or stroker and SC. I have a daily driver, and I went with the cam route with n2o, and I love it. Cam doesnt effect the daily driving aspect, and I sit in DC rush hour traffic twice a day. I use the bottle when I want to have fun, and keep it closed when I want my car to act normal. Not to mention a n2o cam set up can be had for under 1000 before installation. If you get the SC, you will have to get the stroker, because in my opinion, there is no point in getting an SC if you can run high boost, which you wont be able to on a stock bottom end. Be prepared to spend about 10 grand or so as well.

So since you have said the car is a daily driver, I would go with the cam and n2o. It is cheaper, more reliable in my opinion, and I think can be more durable in the long run. I know the SC and stroker would be much more powerful and faster, but I think your daily driving experience may suffer if you sit in any kind of traffic. Just my .02

There are alot of people in the low 12s and some in the high 11s with cam/heads/n2o. So if that is your goal, also keep that in mind that you can achieve it for far less than an SC and Stroker. Either way it will be awesome

How's it going HP? The first thing I would suggest, is for you to sit down a write up a goal list. I'd look at the final results that you'd expect, even if it's going to take a couple years to get there. Once your goal list is finished, stick to the path you have chosen. Cam and head choice is totally different for a supercharged motor compared to NA. It makes no sense to buy heads and a cam twice. Until then, you could run a bottle on your stock motor and see some big gains.

Also HP, take in to consideration the $$ to hp ratio. Work within a specific budget.
