I have to give it a shot when I get the Magnacharger, this may very well be the life saver for my transfer case exploding! (Been increasingly paranoid about it!)
How much does bringing the boost up later on and more gradual change the torque curve?? it would hit more like a centri blower vs the typical roots blower?
I have only owned a centri blower before, and it hit HARD above 3k rpm seemingly without reservation. But it had no low end torque rofl
Ditto on the torque converter, I might not go as high but I feel better with a much sturdier one in there to begin with. I like the upgraded parts and a little higher stall than stock. I think 3200 would be the best bet, maybe even a 2800?? the 3200 on my last car only flashed to 3k before it really moved (??)
I plan on keeping the boost vvveeeerrry conservative in it's transition. I remember on my 2008 Mustang GT, Vortech HO kit with 10 psi it wouldn't come on til 3k rpm but when it does it really does. I kinda liked it but also kinda didn't ( zero boost to max boost isn't always fun). I want it to be like that with the 2300, but way more gradual.
With 450-460lbs of torque, it's gonna be a great increase over stock no matter where it hits lol
I just want it to come on higher in the RPM's that way I can still rip it out of the hole and still have plenty of power after the launch...
That sounds totally irresponsible, even border line reckless on my part.. but c'mon.. launching hard on a AWD and V8 is some serious FUN! I'd be a crime not to!
