    MDS and boost?

So I was thinking about something I read a while back where someone said that if we turbocharged our engines it would blow up when the MDS kicked in. Was this a false statement or do we have to disable the MDS when we boost our engines?

I don't think the computer will let the MDS cut in under boost. If it did, it still wouldn't blow the motor, you would have a turbocharged 4 cyl! What will blow the motor is lean fuel condition, or timing advanced beyond what the knock sensors can handle.

Actually I've found with the supercharged cars the mds gets really annoying when it kicks on. It drones like there is no suitcase on the car so I turn mds off on my F/I cars and they still get better mileage then non boosted cars

That makes sense, I've noticed after my cam install sometimes I'll get a slight drone and if I shift to 5, no more drone. At first I thought it was tq converter shudder.

Actually the shifting takes and disables MDS so thats why it stops droning.

So can we just trun off the mds with a predator or do we have to do lifters and everything?
