    ideas for mounting IAT sensor

Open for ideas on how and where to mount my IAT sensor, I'm more concerned about safety for my engine than performance. I want to mount this in such a way where i don't have to worry about the sensor coming loose during boost and getting sucked into my engine during vacuum... Also thinking i want this sensor to read as close to the intake manifold as posible so computer can make fuel adjustments accordingly...thoughts, ideas..thanks in advance.....nick

What's wrong with the stock location, 2-3 inches from the throttle body? If you have/want to relocate it shouldn't be a problem other than having to extend the wire. I actually relocated my IAT about 8 inches further away (4 inches or so from the filter) on my K&N CAI so that it wasn't in the path of the spray. I have not seen a difference in performance and data logging doesn't show any anomalous readings.

    I hope this helps...

ahhh, I understand. This is actually posted in the nitrous forum, you'll probably get a better response by posting in the SC forum one level up from here. Sorry I can't help, no experience with superchargers...

I wasn't sure were to put this thread because this question is for all the above(s.c. turbo,), even for you meth addicts.

Always mount after the intercooler, but before the water/meth spray. If you have hard piping, then all you need is a 3/4" diameter hole and a proper size rubber grommet. Due to the usually thinner piping sections, I use an O-ring on the outside up against the IAT shoulder and it keeps the IAT tight in the grommet. Never had one blow out yet.
