i was looking for a quick way to gain HP without breaking the piggy bank, and came across this, they claim it can add 7% more HP and well i have an SXT magnum so if my math is correct then this 18$ gadget can add 16.5 extra HP - better than buying a
280$ CAI. i thought it was too good to be true but what do you guys think?? they say it adds 1 PSI- i got no idea what thatd do. but help me out alittle guys. thanks

yeah but i dont wanna become a ricer- because A that guy will think im ahemi because i have flomaster exhaust, then hell think its a blown hemi- and if hes got say a stock 350z or something and sure enough it can beat me- then hell go back bragging that he beat a blown hemi- only thinkg i keep thinking to myself is "patience...patience...my SRT8 is coming soon....the dark one will rise once more...."

What theory? The air coming in makes the "thingy" rotate, thus obstructing the air flow.

Now, if we could power that "thingy" enough to pull more air in, we might have something...oh yeah, that might be called a turbocharger or supercharger.LOL

or if they threw in some headlight fluid.... id buy it but im thinking wont the interuption fomr the fan on the intake cut down the air flow rather than push more air????? i mean on idle sure its doing good but what about if i go WOT???

A restrictor in your airflow passage is NOT going to do any positive things. There is one way it could give positive pressure, and that's if it's heavy enough that when you back OFF the throttle, its inertia keeps it spinning for a second. So you get a minute pressure increase when you don't need it at all.

But it must get its energy somewhere - and that's from the air flowing into the engine.

Making it by definition a restrictor.

But, hey, with chrome muffler bearings and fuel injected floormats...
