    Fuel Solutions Homemade!

I recently accquired 2 walbro 255 fuel pumps, and am attempting to follow in the footsteps of Hemi C and make my own fuel system, the plan is to stick both walbro fuel pumps into the driver side fuel bucket. Cut slits out of the bottom/side of the bucket to allow the filter from the walbros to slide into the slits and stick outside the bucket, as far as the passenger side bucket goes....remove the factory regulator and filter and install a 90 degree fitting at the top. ......At the bottom of the driverside bucket there is a small flapper check valve and sort of "Y" collector at the bottom of the fuel pump, is there any reason to keep these or should i get rid of them all together, I been studying modern muscles design and Hemi C's design, and i think both are great, but i just cant justify spending 1500 for modern muscles fuel buckets alone! not including the rails, lines, regulator etc.... especially when i just got both walbros for $190 bucks.... can anyone chime in?? Thank you in advance!

Stage 3 without rails (includes all of the lines hoses and fittings $1599. Buckets alone $1299 there is much more to it then just 2 pumps but whatever. We have powered enough high HP cars I think our system speaks for itself and when our billet bucket's come out you will get to see what can really be done with our system.

Any progress on the topics in this thread? I am real close to having to decide which way I am going with the fuel system on my car and I am so undecided.....just would like to see how this HHP option works out.

With dual pumps you guys might want to consider a inline fuel cooler under the car. It's not expensive and acts like a mini rad for the fuel to keep it cool alot of the high HP street cars run them...(not as necessary on track only cars)

I have some additional info I'd like to add...

In testing the capability of the stock lines, here is where we ran out of fuel...

Bosch 044 pump in the tank...
    Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump running maxed...
92# injectors in the stock rails...
Entry to the stock rails modded... line splits at the firewall to feed both rails with 1/4" ID hose...

    Motor is a 426 with a Procharger D1SC...

    Car is an automatic...

It made 635 RWHP on a dynojet...

AF curve looks pretty much identical to AJ's (Supercharged Charger Runs Out Of Fuel Pump ) @ 5500 rpm...it's 13.0 AF @ 6000

We will be looking at fuel line alternatives tomorrow...

This was one of my goals...to see what the stock lines can push...and it looks to be about 800-875 HP at the crank before it runs out.

We'll see what else can be done this week...

I still think they can take more. I have replaced everything but the lines. Have you tried a better BAP? The MSD seems far superior with more output.
