    Dropping my IAT 67*s in 20 seconds...at idle with Water/Methanol

    I made a modification to my W/M kit and have been talking to Dan at Labonte Motorsports about adding it as an option if he can duplicate my idea....it allows me to spray a partial shot (cause 100% would bog the motor and kill it) at idle or any other time you want...like at a red light, staging lane before a race, stuck in traffic.


    It is something I just got the kinks worked out of and will try to test at Shindig this weekend, if all goes well I will be able to "beat the heat".


    Here is a little video, it is hard to see but my camera didn't like to focus on my Dash Hawk.




    It still needs some tweaking but it is not simple connect wire A to B...and it was MY IDEA

    Hey Red, here's a suggestion: Add in AAT to your display. I am guessing its about 100 degrees AAT based on what the video is showing but that would be a real nice bump to the case you are making.

    And yeah that sucker really shot the temps down fast. Sounds like a nifty idea. Will be real interested to hear what you are up to when you lift the veil of secrecy.

    AAT? what is that and where is it on the Dash Hwak screen?

    is that Ambien Air temp...cause if it is then it was 105* today.

    I think the main point I hope people see is they have asked me to figure out a way to get the car cool in town or in the staging lanes.


    We will see at Shindig I guess, I won't be doing one run with and one without cause there are just too many variables to deal with and frankly I want to have fun with my buddies there but I will keep things close to the vest for now.

    BUT if I am lined up next to someone who's IAT sensor is reading 130* + and the car bogs off the line cause it is pulling timing like we know the cars do and mine doesn't

    I've always thought the WM on a NA car was pretty interesting.

    There aint too many variables between running without the WM and with, back to back. There's too many variables between you running it and the other guy not, IMHO.

    Just do it!

    Ambient Air Temp is in there somewhere. Just scroll around and you'll come across it.

    1st Matt AAT reads something different than the dash reading, about 2-4*s higher.

    I used my W/M in the staging lanes but not on the track cause as Month my car had some limp mode issues on my race tune.
