NYC SRT8: I believe Inertia multiplies the lobe lift by a 1.65 rocker ratio. So seeing how our cars have 1.60 rockers that puts your actual lift numbers @ .548/.560 lift. Unless there are some new rockers available for our cars that I'm not aware of. But yeah... If we can get cams with minimum lift numbers in the .540's and above we can't realy complain about that.
Everyone else: I also remember reading that Arrington uses a 1.70 ratio. I can't think of any other reason a performance shop would do this (other than to elevate the lift numbers or confuse other shops) when our vehicles come equipped with 1.60 rockers. I guess the gray area makes it okay as long as the ratio being multiplied is stated in advance.
I have a Mopar 392cid cam here but it's still NIB. Maybe one of these days I'll install the bump stick and see what happens. Being the 392 cam is on a 110 LSA your idle is more than likely going to be set very high (1,200 plus rpm) just to keep the car running and all. Trust me when I say, "that's going to get old very fast."
