    Aftermarket Fuel Options..

I was wanting to hear from those that have done something to their fuel system other than injectors or boost-a-pump. I am talking about people that have needed serious amounts to be available for full throttle! I know that maistro69 has a totally revamped system as I have seen some of the components in person but I just would like to hear what some of you other big horsepower guys have done to make sure that you don't lean out your motor.

I'm somewhere between 550-600 RWHP (haven't dyno'd with the custom tune yet) and I have aftermarket fuel rails with front and rear cross-overs and a bigger fuel line. Stock pump/regulator with boost a pump. Unless you're planning on running a blower on your 426, that should cover you too.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see the Procharger on your sig. You'll be looking at fuel pump(s)s too. Talk with Hemi-C he has done a lot of research in this area. Your other option is the $2-3k system from Modern Muscle.

Personally I chose Modern Muscle. Not cheap but a clean and effective in tank solution. We felt in tank is the safest way to go. BTW I'm shooting for 800+ rwhp so need a good reliable fuel supply and the Walbro are first rate pumps IMO.

Yep, Modern Muscle has a kickass fuel system setup for high HP applications. They have sold a number of them already, and have varying stages of HP-support, based on what you may need. Check it out here:

I just said F' it and built my own....from scratch

Depending on your hp level (600+rwhp or so) I think we are about to see a very cost effective solution appear soon.

People that are considering supplemental fuel systems need to be careful if only adding an in-line booster pump. You should add a fuel pressure guage to make sure there is enough pressure. Most in-line pumps are for Fords or GM products. Most boosters run at 45 PSI, our systems run at 55 to 60 PSI. If you are running a at less pressure the tune can be scaled but it will effect the spray pattern and fuel atomization. What we need is a high volume pump with a bypass regulator and a larger feed line. For motors running up to 700 HP a #6 line at 55 PSI is more than enough. Running more than 700 or with less pressure a #8 line line should be considered. As far as fuel rails, I made my own custom rails from the stock tubes. I have a 5/16 steel front cross over and a #4 rear cross over.

Here's what I'll be running as a booster bump

    With this bypass regulator

Hemidon - those standalone inline pumps are loud as s*** inside the cabin, pretty much no matter where you mount them. Plus you will still be limited by the stock pump, which you are now trying to suck through. No me gusta that option :-)

    ^^
At this point I have only upgraded the fuel feed line and the injector rails. I don't want to go to the extreme that Hemi-C did with his in-tank conversion. I want to do something simple and basic that will exceed my needs. My plan was to mount the pump outside the cabin, on the floor, behind the rear. On spray, I'm expecting something in the 600 range at the wheels. We will see this weekend how the stock pumps will handle my new set-up. I suspect I will need something more than the factory gave us.

For 600+ I would agree. But sitting in Pete's car which originally had an in-line Aeromotive pump on it, when that sucka kicked on, the whole unibody resonated. Kinda bad-ass for a race car, but I'd be annoyed if I drove it on the street. It would be louder than my Corsa on the highway.

He didn't mention a pump anywhere. That line with aftermarket rails will cover up to (and probably over) 600 RWHP.
