Welcome Home Troops Car Show

Guy's I work here and got them to add a car show to the event. We could have are Sept. M&G here if not I would be great if we could all show up.



OK North East guy’s on September 6 2008 The VA Hospital in Wilmington, Del will be having a Welcome the Afghanistan and Iraq troops home event from 12 noon to 4PM. This is a FREE family event there will be a Military Band, Police Dogs, Air Force Helicopter, Car show and several events for kids from face painting to games. Food is 100% FREE. The event is FREE to everyone that comes!

The Car Show is sponsored by High Horse Performance (HHP) there will be Trophies and you will be given a Military Coin!!

Car show parking at 10AM

There is space for 150 cars and the area will be marked off for car clubs and type and year for vehicles. So this is going to be a great event.

Remember this is for our service men and women and we would like to give them great cars to see after being in Afghanistan and Iraq serving our country. Let’s support them and give them some cars to see!

Claude you know I will be there to represent the Coast Guard. MUhaaahahahahah. Is there going to be a flyer? show it to the command see if I might get a free day off for it.

Claude, we will definitely be there. Let me know if there is going to be a flyer. I work at a Navy instalation and I'm sure the Cmdr would let me hang a few up. Also who should people contact about signing up for the show? I'm sure there will be a few sailors who will want to know.

I put this over on the Ne Dakota R/T forum will try to get some guys from there in on it we have members in that area as well as DelVal see what happens.Also my Father in-law is a member of the Philly Modifiers car club he's a Vet and I will pass it to him get a Flyer to me Asap. I will make it a Date for the wife and I see you there!!Great job Claude

Well guys I so far have the following clubs coming to support our troops these are Delaware Clubs:

BMW
Porsche
Ford
Mustang
Brit Car club
Historic Assc.

So this is starting to be a very big event for welcoming are troops home!

Ok no reg needed when you show up mostly me but I will be needing some help hint. You will be given a dash card and directed where to park. I am given the car club choice one of three was to be judged now remember this is for fun. 1 peoples choice a table in front of the 1st car with ballets and a table at the end so they can put it in. 2 The club does there own ballet or 3 Get a vet to be a judge.

There are no flyers just copy and post my first post anyone that has any questions can call me 215-221-2297 if they have any questions. Reason I did'nt do flyers is because I am scared of too many car may show up. I do need a truck and import club and we have all we need of the troops to see. Of course any car can show up and I feel good that we have a class for them to join.

Lasty any service men that are doing guard duty on this date can also call me and I will make a call to your commanding officer to get you here. Lasty if anyone knows were I can get 3 or 4 tents 20X20 or 30X30 I will have all covered for the event.

Ok here is an up date so far I have about 125 cars coming but no strong numbers from my LXer's I have the following clubs coming BMW, Porsha, Brit, Mustage, Ford, corvette, and the Historic clubs. Live band feed free. Kids events. What more can I say!

I'm planning on being there- I might bring a few non-lx'er friends with Awesome clean and/or customized cars with me. Save me a spot next to the Lx'ers.

I will be there with both rides and as many Dakota R/T guys as I can! I was talking it up this past weekend at All Trucks up Carlisle.Got one bad ass custom truck coming too.
