Is it just me, or did the cuts miss the mark? If so, Ouch!

Well whatever the case, that is gonna look really cool when its done. You've got some balls to cut into fenders like that

Actually cuts are super clean, I just didn't do any sanding in those pictures.

The other white marks around the cutouts are marks that I put into it.

I did miss the marks, but those are for only cheap and easy reference since I layed all the marks out on the back of the fender.

kinda, but not really. Brand new OEM fenders are only $80ish from the dealer. Cheaper if you go aftermarket.

Good luck on the project though, looking forward to seeing it completed!

Really? wow, I had no idea they were that cheap. Still, not something I'd do unless I had a set of extra fenders to work with.

well yeah, the pessimist in me would buy an unpainted set first and hack on those, saving my good stockers for when I inevitably screw it up

I envy people with those kinda skills.

Yeah fenders are super cheap, but I don't have the money for extra fenders. So I have to cut my own up.

Shouldn't be to bad of metal work and prep.

    Well back at it today.

Added some bracing so I don't bend the crap out of the fenders. So here is a test picture with a 1.5" gap..

A wee bit on the pussy side, so instead of using a 1.5" I will be using a 2" gap witch will be pretty much max. So if it rains tomorrow night, then I will be welding her up with a 2" inch gap.

    Side Notes:
If anybody does them selfs, please save your self the time and add bracing to the back side of the fenders. You will bend the crap out of it even at 1" space.

My camera really sucks lately look how wavey my cuts look! eeeeck!

So thats it from me, for now.
