What have we all been doing this summer??

Me? oh not much, I built a playset for the kids,

    Removed my old rotting deck.

    And installed a new deck.

And of corse I had to do a few car mods too, Eyelids, spoiler, painted the foglight bezals and license plate holder.

    And a diffuser.

So what projects has everybody else been working on?
Update: added 30 yards of garavel to bring the driveway back up to grade, and a little land scaping work, I swear the first owner of the house did not do any thing to this place since he built it.

Besides the first GMG colored gauge cluster, I haven't done anything with the car. I've been trying to figure out why if I park the lawn mower for the week, any gas left in the tank dissapears. I know its leaking somewhere, I can smell it in the shed, just can't find the leak. Also I'm trying to track down a rust-free drivers door for a '99 Ram QC, preferably in white so I don't have to paint it.

Been spending a lot of my free time watching the neighbors across the street argue with the cops. They never seem to win the arguments... lol

Is it dumping in to the crank case? oil level going up?
which reminds me, I also put in new tie rod ends, exhaust, deck drive belt, and a pto clutch in my mower.
Can I take a nap yet?

I think its leaking around the bottom of the tank, around the hose fitting. Its just such a slow leak you can't see anything, other than where its cleaner than it should be. I put a new fuel line on it this spring, its on tight and seated properly, but it could be an issue with the tank itself (might ne cracked, its a 22 year old plastic gas tank, time and use may have started to deteriorate it).

Woha, wait, back up, THE PAINT BOOTH.. Whats going on??

I lowered the car when the snow melted. Thats about it for car mods. We went on vacation for about 3.5 weeks, so that pretty much drained our funds.

Going to Winnipeg this weekend to visit Show, then Fargo next weekend for the P10 show.

    On the car:
    •thought I blew a 3.5" dash speaker
    •replaced the pair...
•upon firing them up, found the rattle was actually in the door speaker...damn
    •swapped door speakers
•now the rears are noticebly off, so ill swap them next and probably put the 2 10" subs in that have been collecting dust for over a year.

    in the house:
•built a 10X10 shed...just made it up as I went along with no real plans. withstood a storm that took down a neighbors tree so I dont think I screwed it up

•just had a $3K interior drain tile installed to counter a basement water problem the previous owner didnt disclose... the installer found the sewer drain to be in ill shape. so another $1500 for a plumber to fix just to find that there are more leaks underneath the new concrete the drain tilers installed. when we run the dishwasher, it gets into the drain tile and gets pumped into the back yard...thats A$$ and the plumber needs $2k more to fix the rest.

sorry just venting... Show, whats this about a paintbooth?

I too replaced a rotton deck on the house we are moving to.

But... was not as sucessful as you!

Was carrying some deck boards (6" boards its a big deck) and stepped on a plank that was over the edge and went down between the stringers and did some serious damage to whatever is above the shin bone,

All pushed up about 3" towards the kneecap!

That was july7 and its still swelled up almost double!

It was so swelled that it blistered looked like big bubble wrap filled with beer!

Spent almost 50 hrs in emerg. before they relized they were not going to get me a bed!

sent me home to come back every day for i.v. antibiotics!

V>O>N> comes now every 2 days to change the dressings.

They are using a silicone bandage that stays on for 7 days and allows healing and cleaning between changes!

DR. says it may be mid sept. before i can go back to work!

Hell of a way to get the summer off!

FYI the deck is done and looks awsome thanks scotty!

    Now to get moved!
