Hey guys, I need a REALLY GOOD traffic attorney

Ok, so it finally hapenned... I got a bad one.

A few months ago i got "the letter" saying that if I got hit with any moving violation in the next year, I'd lose my license for a full year.

Got popped in EP a few days ago, and the cop would not let me off.

Unmarked black Durango was going in the opposite direction and as he passed by, he hit the lights. When he pulled me over he said my exhaust caught his attention, then he pinged me with the radar.

Gave me crap about my exhaust being too loud (there is NO noise ordinance in EP, I asked when I did the exhaust), and then he gave me crap over my tinted tails (which meet the legalities by being visible from 100 yards away in direct sunlight) but then he gave me the unescapable... 57 in a 40 zone. Oddly enough, this was a rare occasion that I wasn't trying to speed, I thought I was within the limit actually.

When he handed me the ticket it listed ONLY the speeding, even though verbally he would not let up on the 'equipment violations'. Now when the ticket shows up in the system (few more days) it might list the equip violations, but the ticket I have in my hand does not.

I need to fight this one in court, and I need a damn good attorney. Any suggesstions?? I cannot lose my license or I'm screwed.

Can go to point reduction school there? Can you set up a meeting with the DA and try and work it out directly and agree to a pleas before the court date? Can you get an occupational license there if you do loose it?
If not can you find a cheap chauffeur for a year?

If not there must be away to research a lawyers court record and determine who is best.

I don't think the ticket shows up in the system until after it's adjudicated so you should not have to worry about the other crap.

No school or points here. Let me see who my dad used for my sister for her rash of tickets. She should have lost her license when they caught her in her car (parked in a public park afterhours) drinking (I never said she was smart).

I was amazed that she didn't loose her license.

I feel for you, I lost mine 3 years ago driving my Magnum to E Town to drag race. Im guessing if you hire an expensive lawyer and convince the DA that your taking it all the way to the Supreme Court, that he may not want to spend thousands of dollars to collect a $200 fine. It's all about the money. I wish I'd fought my ticket, it cost me $1,000 and lost my license for 30 days. My wife does not drive, but fortunately my secretary was able to chauffer my fat arse around. 1 year would totally blow. Have your lawyer postpone it as many times as possible, and try to get a license from Pennsylvania. Surrender your license to Pennsylvania, then apply to your state for a new one, cause you lost the old one. When you surrender your license to the judge, drive on your shiny new Pennsylvania license. A friend of mine from New Jersey does that. Pennsylvania is a state that does not reciprocate with other states. Register your car there, get a pobox there and have a friend foreward any important mail, like from the DOT. But for hitch hiking for a whole year, it's worth exploring!

Yes, any attorney that you know of that is really good at manipulating the traffic court system. If you know one, I'd love to get a reference.

I'll be doig some calling around this week myself of course... it's just tough to know who's good and who's not without personal knowledge of their cases.

I have 3 Law Offices to call, but I'm not sure if they specialize in this area, but I'm hoping they can refer me to a lawyer. You should probably research and name I get you, but they will come recommended by our rip-off corporate attorneys. hahahaha...

Do you have any pics of your tinted taillights? I was planning on doing them next spring and I wanted to get an idea of how dark I can get them with out getting crap from the cops for them. I plan on buying LED ones and tinting those to make them alittle brighter.
