Would the 300x4 kit be too loud for wife and baby???

I would like to get the 7db kit with the 4" tips but have no clue when they will arrive if ever, so I am wondering if the 9db kit will be too loud?

My wife does drive the Magnum sometimes also so I am needing something that will not be too loud for her and also for me for work as I am visiting dental offices for work each day.

Are your stock tips rolled on the edge?

they are rolled with a slight angle to the tip itself.

Bob is seeing which of the 3 mufflers you have. You have the quietest to begin with I believe. Because you keep your stock muffler, your 7db or 9db kit would be the quietest of the 3 mufflers.

Exterior wise the 9 db isn't super loud with your setup, however you will get some interior resonance/drone with this kit. I've given up hope on ever getting the tips for the 7 db kits, the closest I can get you to that sound would also be the one I would recommend and that is a mandrel bent 5db kit with 4" DW tips. #225DW4 The mandrel bends will add a little sound over the press bent kit without getting the dreaded MDS drone.

well i do not know what to do..wait for something to hopefully come, or get the 9db kit and hope it is not too annoying inside the cab.

Here is what I can do, I have already done a couple this way, I'll make a set with the same tubing as the 7 db(2 1/2") and use the tips from the 9db kit. It will require me to flare the tubing up to mate with the 3" opening. The internals and the two tips are the same diameter, only the first 3 inches are bigger on the tips that I have.
You'll have to call this one in if you want me to make it this way.

I doubt the sound will change doing it this way. The only con would be the step up to make it fit, although it's just cosmetic.
