What difference does the x-pipe make?

Hey Everybody, I was looking at the x-pipe offered at Blastin Bob's site and was wondering what kind of difference in sound and/or performance I should expect after installation of the x-pipe

I believe a crossover pipe (X-pipe) evens out the exhaust pulses and increases the scavenging effect... increasing the exhaust flow.
