No Drone Please

Bob, have read through all of the post and excited to hear what you have done for other users and hope you can make a suggestion.

I have a 05 5.7 Magnum R/T with CAI. I currently have replaced the suitcase with Flowmaster 40's and no resonators. I actually love the sound and don't mind the decibels but the cabin resonance is tough at 1800 to 2100 rpm.

I am planning a 14 hour trip this year and would like to remove or reduce the drone without losing that muscle car sound.

How much of the original pipe is left from the suitcase to the resonator?

Probably not much. The shop that put the mufflers on did a great job but required some custom pipe work. Is the issue getting your pipes to match up to the existing pipe ?

Yeah, my pre-made kits will only go to the original pipe in the original position. If you have enough straight pipe before the tip then I can send you just the back half, resonator and tip, to weld to your existing pipe. It has to be a straight shot though, otherwise it would all need to be welded on the car. If you want to take all of the drone out then go 2.25" core resonator, if you don't mind a small amount of drone then the 2.5" core would keep more of your sound.

Bob which kit or resonators would these be, your glass pack resonators ?
I have tried to listen to as many clips as I can I from what I can tell I like the 9db kit but not sure if that will remove the drone at 2k rpms.

If I could get you pictures from underneith would that help ?

I don't have a problem getting the shop to weld the resonator and tips on.

What would just the resonator and tips cost me ?

I don't want to hijack this thread, but Bob may be able to help me out of this one too. I have a very similar system to what MagNeto has. I have kept the stock reso's because of the drone. And one other thing is that I have high flow cats. I also have access to a muffler shop. I would like to know what your recommendations are for us to be somewhat loud, but no drone or resonance. Thanks...
