Thumbs up Taking advantage of CHI-TOWN's nice weather...

Alrighty then, so it's like super warm here in the Chicagoland area today. So I took the time to put the 1st coats of wax on the Charger today, and I also was able to break out the carpeting I bought over the winter time and set it out for the 1st time to see if I bought enough. I think it turned out pretty hott. For those of you familiar with my ride, you may notice a few "new additions" to the Charger that I haven't really talked about much. Here's a few pics, so enjoy!!

Looks good Mike. Keeps the orange theme alive. You do realize that it is going to take you longer to setup and tear down at shows now. Not to mention finding a spot in the car to haul it

    TYVM Fondy.

Remember, you and all of the fellow members started me on this addictive path by honoring me with a B.O.S. Trophy last year.

What a way to have started off the 2008 season! Now I have to keep at it, to maintain that same level of enthusiasm and interest in the car.

Having come from fellow LX'ers, it's an honor I will cherish for many years to come.

I'm curious to see how the car will be recv'd this year knowing I've done so much more since then!

Having watched other guys at the "bigger" shows like at McCormick Place, Allstate Arena and the new Toyota Park setting up and tearing down, it actually took them longer 'cause they had rolls of carpeting.

Not too mention that rolling up a 10' X 20' piece of carpeting, then folding it in half, only to jam into the car just wasn't something I was too keen on doing.

Thus the reason why I purchased these. They're carpet "tiles"........ 3' X 3' squares. I'll stack 'em up in the back seat area (with the bench folded down) and I'm all good to go.

Only took me about 10 minutes to lay 'em out, less to put 'em all back away.

A minor sacrifice IMO. It adds to the overall presentation that's all. To me, in the end, it's all worth the effort. Glad you like it though. Comments are appreciated!

You're not on Fondy's Spring Cruise list for Sunday? Darn. My son's drooling over these pics; I'm sure he'd love to see your ride up there. ("Dad, are you going to do that stuff to your car too?" )

HaHa, I was like WTF? I know there's no damn dent in there.

But then again, I had to check..... you know with the 3 kids running around (bikes, scooters, heelies, etc) accidents could occur. Ofcourse I might go ballistic, but accidents occur.

..........and speaking of going ballistic, she (the wife) hasn't seen the "show" carpeting yet. Or other recent additions.

So, ummm, yea, that oughta be an interesting time.

Just keeping up the tradition of married men across the country constantly struggling with what, or how many mods, to do on their rides unbeknownst to the wife!

Yea, I know. It's not w/o disappointment on my end either.

Unfortunately like any other employer, the dept's been cutting back on hiring new LEO's. It essentially means more often than not, we're at contractual minimum staff for how many officers areworking the street.

I can't get off from work and I'm scheduled on the day of Fondy's event.

I will however be standing tall at his "Rocking Spring Event". So come on out to that and bring your boy then.
