    Calm before the mods 2....

Since I have had to send one of my three piece ID Luxury wheels out to be repaired, and am waiting on some of my last exterior and underhood mods to arrive(what a federal project by the way), I thought I'd post some pictures with the 22 staggered Viper replicas and Vredesteins I just had mounted, and aligned.....

Let me know what you think...I can definitely tell that these are heavier wheels, but they look great, and the Vreds with the stiffer sidewall are the sickness, stick like glue and give the car a more balanced feel....

    Looks great!!!

first machined vipers Ive seen on a black srt......

you said you feel a difference in weight....

my question is, do you feel a $3,000 more difference in weight comparing it to your sweet 3 piece ID mesh wheels

Love the look of your car if I ever got another LX it would have to be a black SRT8 Charger!

Thanks for the great feedback folks. I am pretty happy with the look.

pmpn8ez, well first off it is more like an $1,800 difference based on what I paid for the ID's, but I can tell you, yes there is a noticeable weight difference, which can be felt in the performance of the car. I'd say performance is reduced by about between 5 to 10% by my seat of the pants with the 22 Vipes/Vreds....The ID's versus stock forged aluminums as far as I can tell is about a wash...about the only thing you feel is some steering "weight", which may be only due to the 265 fronts vs. the 245's I had on there before, and not actual weight...too hard to tell.

Also, the full chromed ID's really are jaw droppers...if I wait to roll into a local meet a little after most have gotten there, it is kind of like everyone watching a hot girl walk across a bar floor at happy hour.....eyes bulge, friends tap friends on the shoulder, people point, and you can kind of see people mouthing "HOLY CRAP" in slow motion....it's pretty kewl....When the ride is clean and the wheels all shined up, the car really is stunning. I'm not saying that because it's mine....it just looks really good.....but there is still work to be done, which I hope to have completed by end of the month.

    Thanks Again,
    Scott B.
