Hello, I'm a member of Triangle Mopars in Raleigh. I copied a list of events around the area. The one in Spencer is about 2 Hrs. away. I live 45 Min. east of Raleigh, so about 3 Hrs. for me. If nothing pans out in Raleigh as far as jobs and houses, try Fayetteville. Job market is pretty stable and houses are great. Let me know, I have contacts for all sorts of GS/Contract jobs, and my wife is in real estate.

Being a fellow LX'r, my wife suggested i give you a few real estate tips.

Please know that NC is a "buyer beware" state. Basically this means you do not want to disclose any financial info to your realtor until you sign a contract with the. Until you are under contract with your agent, they are working for the buyer (even if they are not listing the home), and can supply the seller with "tips", such as "they make $xxx and can afford your house at the listing price, so do not budge on the selling price". This practice is done often, as the more the home sells for, the greater their cut on commission.
If your agent does not supply you with this tidbit of onfo, move on.Most agents will give you a brochure called "Working with an Agent", and it should disclose this. Also, ask your agent to send you some MLS listings in advance, so you are not running all over looking at houses that you are not interested in.

Thank you for the info. The agent I am using has informed me of the brochure. I am also using her because she has worked wirh a few of my friends and they liked her. So we will see when I meet her on Tuesday!
