Why does this have to be so hard?!?!

Here's a picture of my new wheels fully mounted and balanced. Sweet, huh?

    Notice anything wrong? .................................................. ..................

Well, they're sitting in my backyard and not on my car, that's what's wrong. Today started out great. Got up early and washed my baby. Got the new stuff all loaded up in the SUV and me and my wife headed to Les Schwab in Martinez. Lots of ooohs and aaahs from the guys in the shop. Dropped off my stuff and left the car. We headed for breakfast and hung out at the mall for a bit. We got back to the shop to see the last wheel being balanced. Perfect timing. I like to watch my car getting worked on anyway. Up she goes on the lift and then . At some point between breakfast and the time I got back, the morons lost my locking lug nut key. WTF!!!

They spent about half an hour looking for it but it was no where. I came home to look for the registration number for the key but I have no idea where it is. I brought them an extra lug nut I had so maybe they can have Gorilla figure out which key it is. I told them it needs to happen by the end of next week. I don't care if they have to cut off all 20 of them and buy me a new set.

I normally go to the Big O here in town but decided to try Les Schwab because they have a Road Force balance machine. Next time I'll know better.

My wife and I were talking about that at breakfast. We even looked up Yuba City on her iPhone and realized that it wasn't that far. Lesson learned.

One thing I notice is that the tires are directional and all are mounted the same direction... even though you need to reverse them on one side of the car. I could be wrong, but from the looks of the pics... one side is gonna be backwards.

These tires are made by Vredestein and are non-directional. There have been many discussions here on the forum about them. They have the inner side marked on the sidewall and yes, the tread looks strange when mounted cause the tires appear backwards on one side but people swear by them.
