First, thanks MoPOWeR-349 for the great deal and support on the install last night!
First, the unboxing:
Yep, everything is there. Now for a before:
And now the final product:
A couple of notes:
1) This is a very tight fit. VERY.
2) Make sure you put the washers on the rubber side of the isolator. Like this:
If you don't, you will get it too tight and it will be hell trying to get it in and out for oiling. This is what it looks like with the washers in the wrong place:
The picture above does not show it well but, it is actually rubbing on the power steering reservoir.
The washers in the right spot, it free it up a bit:
It may not look like much but, it is.
4) When you install it, forget what the intructions tell you. Asemble the tube first with the elbow (the one at the TB) and the final rubber joiner (opposite end). Preinstall the the filter and it's parts. This will make it easier to move around as you "aim" the filter onto the tube.
These are just what I observed. It really seems like a puzzle to get these all to fit right without rubbing, crunching, crimping, binding etc.
Now, some odd things I noticed when I removed the stock air box. There was oil all over the bottom of it. Check this out:
What the heck is all this? Anyone else see this on their install?
