    Got my first ticket in the 300

    I was cruising doing 70 minding my own business when I catch up to a mustang doing 65. No big deal, I am not in a hurry, Its going take me an hour to get to Oakland plus I know there is going to be traffic. So I sit back and relax.

    But all of a sudden, I notice there’s this large gap between him and the SUV in front of him. You could fit three Mack trucks in there. THEN I got annoyed. Don’t know why. I wasn’t in hurry. I had plenty of time to get to work. But for some reason, this SOB was getting on my nerves. Mind you, he was doing nothing wrong. BUT he was annoying the s$!t out of me. I couldn’t pass him on the right because of the other moronic drivers.

    I decided to pass him on the left. Again why? I don’t know. I just had to get around him. SO I floor it. I jumped in the car pool lane and pass him in a flash and get in front of him. Now I am happy again. Until I see a motorcycle cop behind me.

    He wrote me up for doing 93 MPH in 65 and a carpool violation. You figure being in my 30s I would know better.

    Does anyone know if I can still go to traffic school for 30 over the speed limit?

    I'm fairly certain if you're 25mph over the clerk cannot assign traffic school if you were otherwise eligible. Its up to the judge instead.

    So show up, hat in hand and hope he doesn't notice the car pool violation

    I found this:

    You have not attended within the last 18 months - you can contact the Department of Motor Vehicles to get this information;

    Your speed was not more than 15 miles per hour over the speed limit;

    http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/courts/t...c.htm#eligible

    If you show up in court, even without the kids and wife, you more than likely are gonna get the speeding reduced or waived. The carpool might get reduced too, but like you said, depends on the judge and if he is a prick. At least you can do traffic school; and it's all online at your own pace too!

    I have a traffic school for you. I was done in 20 minutes. It let's you skip through everything and then take the test. The test questions are at the bottom of the text so all you have to do is Ctrl-F to find the question you copy and pasted. Easy!!! Cheap too! 14 bucks!

    https://www.onlinetraffic.com/

    Also, you may not be able to go because you MAY have more than one moving violation as you can only go if there is no MORE than 1 violation. If the carpool is a moving violation, you are done, Sir. If it is not, you may be ok. I once got a ticket for 90 in a 65 on my way back from Fresno and I was able to go to TS.
