EVIC Questions

Heres what I got;

I have a 2008 Charger SRT8. I found a thread on SRT8OC that explained how some of us without the upgraded EVIC computer in the dash can access most of the same data by pressing and holding the two inside lower buttons on the steering wheel. It's very cool and for the most part, works great. However, once accessed I can't figure out what some of the data presented means. The other problem is one of the new screens, specifically the main MPH screen, where only the MPH is displayed does not work. It only displays "0" no matter what the speed of the vehicle is. One of the new screens found with this trick does display MPH in a smaller field as well as engine temp and battery charge. This particular screen works great.

Has anyone else used this trick and had the same results? More importantly is there anyway to fix it.

That has been a very common feature for all years. As far as the speedo not working, that's an 08 problem. As far as I know that's the same for everyone. Our 08 R/T has the same problem but my 06 SRT works fine.

No, no known way to fix it. They removed the speed display option on 08's, from what I've heard is that the expanded EVIC is for "diagnostic use" only.
