Seems I have about 2 weeks left here to find work then I head to my parents house in Texas and start looking there.

I will be bringing my LX and would also like to hook up if we can.

Lots of good stuff on this site about IT as a profession .... I get the magazine at work ... there has actually been stuff in there that I have used to get an extra new-hire in my department and get cash awards for doing things above and beyond the call of duty in years where the raises weren't all that great ... large companies always have slush funds floating around to reward the people who demonstrate the ability to add to the bottom line ...

Hey Smosher, isn't Austin an IT mecha as well? I mean, Microsoft has their xbox dev team there and let's not forget dell lol! I work for MS, so please be gentle. I don't mind MS jokes, but not the ones that make you cry Good luck to you there in Austin. Besides winter is coming and Austin will be really cool during the days and evenings.... good time for going to the local track. Maybe we meet up someday on one of those All Texas M&G finally.

UpDate: I'm awaiting call backs from a couple companies ina nd around the Austin area at this time. Im still unaware of when exactly I will be getting down there.

From what I understand tho is I will be flying in and driving a car donated by my folks.
I still would like to hook up with your group once I do in fact get there.
