SRT-8 Maggie vs. my little Crossfire

My friend filmed me and my buddy Tom running against each other last week at the wonderfull; and never prepped, Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His car has cat back exhaust, CAI and Diablo.................my Crossfire's only mod is SL55 intake with K&N drop in filters. I told him before the race that I would give him "a wagons length head start". Enjoy.

those x-fires don't need much to run like that. Actually a more typical time for a near stock one is about the same as an LX SRT8.

    That one's hot for sure!

Nice race!! What's up with the end of the track? Is it just the perspective or does it go downhill after the traps?

I assume that was an SRT6, not just the regular Crossfire... big difference.

The only "mod" I did to my SRT-6 is put a FACTORY SL55 AMG intake with K&N drop in air filters and ran on the stock Continental 255/35 19's(that you hear spinning off the line). That run was with a 2.0 60' at 2100ft elevation

I thought of that..............but it would have less power and more weight.

    SRT-6 generally dyno 290-300rwhp stock............5.7 is around 270-280ish.

I do wish it had the awesome sound of my 6.1 though. It just saddens me that it took $4500 in mods to get my Charger on drag radials and gutted interior to run .007 of a second faster than my Crossfire with a $325 OEM intake mod at full weight and on factory tires.

If anybody's coming out here to vegas for Mopars at The Strip you'll have a chance to witness the 6 in person..........and it won't be running 12.8's anymore.
