    Rotten E.T with my R/T, WTF?

    Well today was interesting, ran my 05 RT Mag today for the first time at the track. Usual bolt on mods, CAI, 180 stat, Borla catback, Predator 93 CAI tune, etc. My best time you ask? 14.9 @94 mph. How the heck is that possible?

    Check for excessive knock.. try running with the 91 CAI and then 91 tune. the 91 tune may yield much better times if the 93 tune is adding too much timing and causing knock retard.

    I had considered that, dropped to a 91 CAI tune on my last pass for a 15.1 :(

    I would still check for knock.. maybe they sold you 87 and said it was 93? something's not right.. unless it was 40+ degrees Celsius and pulling a boat.. you should be running better times.

    Any idea what the DA was? 90 degrees is already a power killer, and were other cars running slow? I would expect with good gas and your mods, running on a well prepped track and a low or negative DA, you should be high 13's.

    That MPH of 94 is pretty slow. Does the car have any codes via the predator tuner?

    DA = Density Altitude

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Density_altitude

    Density altitude is the altitude in the International Standard Atmosphere at which the air density would be equal to the actual air density at the place of observation. "Density Altitude" is the pressure altitude adjusted for non-standard temperature.
    Both an increase in temperature and humidity will cause a reduction in air density. Thus, in hot and humid conditions, the density altitude at a particular location may be significantly higher than the true altitude.

    What State and track did you run, it could be as simple as your elevation and temp

    Track is in Bradenton, FL and yes it was a hot day (90) and fairly humid. I did talk with a guy with a stock 05 Mustang GT who ran a best of 15.4 and a guy with a brand new SRT8 Challenger who ran 15.5, but it was his first pass in the car and he spun a bit.

    Looks like Da at Bradenton Motorsports Park was low +2000's I would think the car should be mid 14's with that

    I think with those mods you should be 14 flat .... or 14.1 .... my car ran 14.2 all day in 102*heat and humidity, with drag radials and engine temps between 175 to 185...I'm considering you did not have drag radials...I'm with Bklynmag, your mph is really low...maybe your cats are not right.
