    Monica's cherry got popped

Went to watch hemisfear(srt charger) and his friend (srt jeep) at St.Thomas dragway. I was content to be the photographer and have a race dog.

    Right.

It took only a few minutes to convince myself to run.The clincher was seeing a local farm boy in grandpa's Buick Regal go puttin by, then an Omni. That was it...

    So,with no tune,over 3/4 of a tank,new proxes STII,and only the spare/jack tossed..

My track virgin Monica ran a 14.1

Had a great time goin' fast without having to look for cops. Didn't break any records but nothing else broke either so it's all good.

for a magnum, thats not bad. most guys start off at 14.3-14.5. and inch closer to 13.9 with some mods. its not trail blazing, but its certainly not behind the crowd.
how was the 60 foot time?

    Easy now! LOL

Seriously, great job and even if you did have a charger you probably wouldn't be any faster and definitely not near as cool looking. Plus, how would you get all of your groceries, lumber, bicycles, refrigerators, concrete blocks and your friends home? Hee hee!

Yeah, I think you have 13's if you practise a little!

LOL, jonn, i didnt mean it that way. just saying that from a stats side alone a magnum has a weight disadvantage. that being said, the fastest LX at this point is also a magnum.
Ed, nice job. with a bit more practice, that 60 foot will drop 2/10th's and you'll be in the 13 second club. better go buy a helmet soon.

Good times Ed. If the track wasn't so cold and prep involved more than a brush with a hose, you'd have seen better launches. Hell, on my drag radials, I couldn't stop spinning through first. So yeah, you did pretty damn good. Btw, your first time slip was the best of the day..the 14.1 with like a 2.1 60 footer. I'm glad I helped you lose your virginity lol. jk...,but we'll be back right?
