Wouldnt it be worth a few bucks to fit something like a 12 lb Odyssey battery in the front and back to lose 70 or 80 lbs?
It should be easy to make a lightweight box that can hold the small battery.

Come on...some guy on here takes out his back seat to lose 100 lbs and he gets congrats for his "good idea"?
Why does the hemi need 80 damn lbs of battery in the first place?
Do you not get enough attention.....................Its okay I really like your idea.
Cutting edge.

Not attention for myself.....attention to something that is feasible and a good idea. But nobody seems to acknowledge it.
I thought this forum had some good technical and knowledgeable guys in it that would give me some guidance on how this would work out, but I guess I will need to try elsewhere.
The battery in an LX weighs 80 pounds? Really?

Overall, saving weight where you can is a great idea no matter how small the amounts but I think the battery over the passenger side wheel is helpful. Overall front/back weight distribution is improved and the weight over the wheel helps with spin off the line.
