Nice kills. You don't have any leak vids do you?

Great news and go get em! My favorite street tires for racing are Kumho XS and Hankook RS-3. Very similar and they grip (or slip) the same cold and hot.
Les
BFG gave me a set to race on.
So glad to hear a MOPAR is being represented. Congrats on the kills and keep us posted.

Joel -if the BFG's don't work out (or you burn em out), the best street tire for our cars on tracks, so far for me, are the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They seem very well suited to heavy rear driving vehicles. I picked up 3 seconds on a 3 mile, very tight circuit with just the tire switch.
No big news I can report tonight other than im in episode 2 kinda neither contestant picked me to race because my car looked like a real race car and were afraid of it .
Already got em scared. Good job.
Im kinda worried about the car right now. it dropped a cyl again for several turns then picked it back up again yesterday. I pulled the intake to see if it had dropped the valve guide again. It was in place, and checked everything else I that could in the paddock .I didn't find any thing wrong. it shows no codes other than some misfire codes . on tuesday in went into a throttle body/peddle correlation code of some kind . I came off track in a limp mode where it gave me very little throttle get off the track with . I Had to cycle my master cutoff switch to get it to clear. it hasn't done that again so far so don't be surprised if I have a bad showing .
Joel check valve springs. Did the missfire code for 1 cylinder or more?
-R
I will check them this morning. there is less than 1,500 mi. on them .
The same thing happened today I didn't get picked . I found out through one of the contestants there were several NASA people that tried out and some got eliminated and put the word out to the other contestants about how fast I was. so it is unlikley you will get to see the challenger go one on one maybe it will get shown in some montaqe shots from the elimination rounds but I will be in episode 3 also I just end up the man out. there is a good possibility I do race Sunday in something else.
Well I guess thats a show of respect, still sucks though, lol.
9.18 @ 150 mph
I had a off day today. So I worked on the car . I cant find any thing mechanically wrong. The plugs are clean. I found n no broken valve springs all the injectors spray smoothly. the compression is OK.
I do think my gas pedal is going bad
occasionly if nail it real hard it goes into a no throttle limp mode.
The main issue where if i just ease around it runs ok if I step into it it seems to drop 2 or more cyl. it sounds relly boggy. it runs really rough by the time I get to where I can try to isolate which cyl its not running on it goes back to running on 8 the only codes i get are multiple misfire it does not feel like a fuel pressure issue. im not worth sh*t at diagnosing eletronic issues how does one run if the map sensor goes out. can it be bad with out having a code.
Hey Joel, there's been a couple posts recently about a bad Crank Angle Sensor causing strange issues. Could that be a possibility here, too?
Good luck with it.![]()
