First time at track....Funnn Stuff!!

Well, I ran my '07 all stock Magnum R/T at Union Grove, WI today. Did 10 runs on stock wheels and tires, trying out different methods of launching.

Best R/T .004 (I'm proud)
Best 60' = 2.183
Best 330 = 6.201
Best 1/8 = 9.356 at 76.60 MPH
Best 1000 = 12.103
Best 1/4 = 14.396 at 98.93 MPH

First run in D, hammered it from idle and ran a (ESP Off)1/4 time 14.534 R/T .391
Then in 1st, hammered it from idle and ran a (ESP Off)..14.941 R/T .113
Then in 2nd, hammered it from idle and ran a (ESP Off) .14.396 R/T .287
Then in 2nd, hammered it from idle and ran a (ESP On)..14.612 R/T .004
Then in 2nd, hammered it from idle and ran a (ESP Off)..14.582 R/T .098
Then in 3rd, hammered it from 1500 RPM and ran a (ESP Off)..14.706 R/T .324 Really smoked em' on this run.
The other three were made in 2nd from idle with (ESP Off) no real difference in numbers.

Ever run the tires screamed, not sure why? I can only chirp em' on the street, or lets say short burn-out. They re-sprayed the track after one of the guys hit the wall, nobody hurt (Thank God). I still spun em bad.

I take back everything I said about the 2.82 rears in these cars. First gear is too low, unless you're running slicks. One of the problems I experienced is not being able to make the distance without shifting into fourth gear. Major set-back.

My first run was against a Mitsubishi, really nice guy. I asked him a round about figure of the cost of his mods. He told me around 2500 dollars, and he does his own installs. Here was his numbers, on street tires.

R/T 1.566, 60' = 1.788, 330 = 4.943, 1/8 = 7.510 at 95.71 MPH, 1000 = 9.715, 1/4 = 11.579 at 120.83 MPH

I had a fun time. Going to add a couple of mods and try it again.

Oh Yeah, I blew away a stock ricer who ran a 17.908 Hehe!!!
