Eye Opener at the 1/4 Mile

Just thought that you guys might enjoy seeing a unique video.
Some of know that I collect and Drag Race FWD Turbo Charged Mini Vans.
Right know I have 3 of them and by 6-1-07 I am hoping to add one more.

Here is one that I use to own but sold to my friend and mechanic, Rob.
This is a 1989 Ply Voyager SE that originally had a 2.5 liter motor (8 valve).
It now has a 2.4 DOHC out of a Neon SRT-4. The Van is running 22 psi of boost, 3 inch exhaust, Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, 255 liter/hour electric fuel pump, Stage 5 Calibration. On a set of slicks the Mini ran a best of:

    1.832
    5.396
    8.428
    80.27
    11.089
    13.371
    98.67

This is still with the stock turbo and inter cooler from the SRT-4 Neon. The van is however running a 3 speed auto transmission Here is a video of Rob doing a burnout on 17 inch street tires.

    Enjoy the Video

As for my Mini's the Best so far is only a 13.61 @ 101.83.
I have the wrong head on it and still trying to get a new one made.

I have given up trying to have the quickest as Terry is now after 10.99

Thing squats like crazy... Wouldn't you want to put in hella-stiff rear springs to keep some weight over the front tires???

Do you know Bryan from minnesota Chuck? http://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge-Shado...slip-3197.html

I think he runs a alternator repair shop now, sells bogart wheels and a few other odds and ends. Use to be on another forum with the guy, saw him run his shadow once at the track, he had a couple minivans also (thought one of them ran low 13's, he autocrossed it a few times also, LOL) those mid adged turboed mopars are quite the sleepers. I still remember my parents old K-car, it was a dodge 600 ES, everytime my brother borrowed that thing he beat the piss out of it. Think my dad finally got rid of it at 170,000 miles.

    1/4 mile: 12.32 @ 111.12 MPH on a 1.72 sixty foot
