I take it from your sig block that you have enough torque to push those "Wide" tires.
Those 315 must be Hoosiers your looking at. They are short 25 inch tall and will wear through QUICK.... but the good thing is they are quite sticky.

Those 295's are most likely M/T ET Street Radial IIs alot of folks are looking to get thier hands on this set.

The not so good part is your HAVE STOCK REAR END... add DR's to that and I hate to say it will be a MATTER OF WHEN you will be calling the TOW TRUCK to pick you up as the combination you are putting together WILL break those STOCK Shafts.

Too many folks have been down that path already.... hence you see everybody with BIG HPs having upgraded Shafts.

Get upgraded shafts... before you stick DRs on them... IMO

I am only running a lil' ole' 5.7, and still agree with other posts. With your mods you are probably in the 430+ HP range (best guess). Any decent DR's will certainly help you hook and rip through your rear half shafts like butter. Which ever route you decide, I hope we are wrong. GL!!

Since they are both a "35" aspect ratio, diameter would be what I would base my choice on. The 315/35 should be quite a bit taller than the 295/35. About .552" taller by my math.

About a 2% variance. That can make a difference. Nearly 150 RPM in the traps @ a given MPH.

They should both have sufficient width to hook.

    Who makes a 295/35/17? M/T has 295/45/17s and I think both hoosier and m/t have 315/35/17.

The shorter the tire, The lower your 60ft. And the lower your 1/4mi., But also more load on the axle's.
And since you have those awesome rim's from HHP I would want the 315-35-17's

personally i swear by the 315/35/17 Hoosiers.
Iron Mike turned me onto them and hes set records with them for the 5.7 stroker class too.
For me the big thing is the width. It lets me feel more confident about getting into the throttle quickly.

and boy, the hoosiers are stiiiiiicky!

I had a spare set of upgraded '09 Challenger axles in the garage so I thought I'd just pop those in when a halfshaft broke. Problem was the other side halfshaft got stuck in the differential and I needed 2 new halfshafts and a differential. I think it makes sense to install the upgraded halfshafts up front and avoid hurting your differential when one breaks. Likewise if you go to a '09 Getrag LSD rear end you can sell all your stock SRT8 stuff and do pretty well for yourself.

I took the advise of some damn good drivers around here and put Hoosier 274/40/17s on AFTER upgrading to R/T axles. Hooks good.

    Personal Best: coming soon!!

I have gone through more then a couple sets of DR's in the past year... Hoosiers, M/T and now M&H's

Hoosiers go from 275s and jumps to 315.... Love them 315s but they are TOO short for me....

Like those ET STREET Biasplys too....

But I have had more consistant hooking with the M&H 28 inch 325s

Okay who makes 295/35/17s ? I think it was a typo and should have been 295/45/17

I now got my hands on a pair of M/T ET Street Radial II 295/45/17s... I have no intention of breaking those out until the fall timeframe.....
