Capital raceway in Maryland reopens this Friday!
Capitol Raceway
Opening for T & T Friday at 5 and Sat at 11am. New management. Now an IHRA Track, bracket racing to start soon! See you there!08 R/T LMI TRUE CAI, eagle intake. Modern Muscle Perferformance Group 85mm Ported TB, CAM, and ported eagle heads. SLP underdrive pulley. 6.1 timing set,and lifters, PSI springs custom pushrods, cometic head gaskets, 11:1 comp. American Racing 1 3/4" long tube headers , highflow cats. SLP SRT8 3" catback with Magnaflow 3" mufflers, 4" tips., catch can 170 stat. Builder Bill rebuilt tranny, stage 2 valve body, 3500 stall TC, AFI flexplate. Getrag 3.06. MTCM. BC Coilovers. Pistol grip shifter. Tuning Johan.
NEW04/6/13: 11.847 @ 118 mph .

^ its not that bad, but the track prep yea that sucks still not worse then 75-80. great place to go watch because its so close to my house plus MIR is have an all mustang race this weekend

update: I drove to capital raceway last night about 6. Lots of activity, buildings have been repaired repainted, parking lines were being drawn in the pit area, the timeslip booth is moved down the return road, there was equipment on the track, at the 1/8 mile a tractor and something alse, couldnt see all. activity around the stagng area, couldnt see what but things are happening. Im hopeful the new management will continue to improve both the track and the grounds. Its an IHRA track now. I have met one of the partners, B J Harrel, I helped him put his panels on his dragster as he was puttin jets in the carb, then helped push him towards the staging lanes last year. Im optomistic, and I'll know after one pass if they are serious . Hey antonio, see you there!
