wanting more HP!!!

Alright guys so my car had to stay back home this week while i went back to college and i have been driving a 98 mustang gt and a 2008 silverado lt. Both with nice big v8s lol and i noticed i miss that power a lil bit. Well actually alot a bit haha, even though i didnt think i was wanting that for this car. But anyways my question is how can i get up to around 300 HP. I believe i read the v6 is rated somewhere around 250 stock so thats aa pretty decent amount of gain lol But i was thinking exhaust and predator but not sure on other stuff. Im not wanting to spend thousands of $$$$ on this but dont mind spending a decent amount because i will not be doing it all at once. But any input would be muchly appreciated guys. THANKS!!!

actual rear wheel hp is around 180. 250 is at the fly wheel. your gunna need a super charger, headers, exhaust, ported lower intake manifold, and a ported throttle body. oh and new cams never hurt either.those are the parts that will definetly get you over 300 for sure

You can do Exhaust,headers, and A Cold Air Intake and get close to 200 RWHP...........rwalshphoto sells polished and ported lower intake manifolds and throttle bodies......Interia Motorsports has cams/heads..........There is always a 50 or 100 shot of NO2..........

A Modern Muscle Supercharger kit will get you roughly 320 RWHP with the optional Methanol/Water Injection kit for around 5K.........

This pretty much sums it up for our 3.5's. As Magnum P.I. already said, get a Predator and you'll really open the possibilities. Ask the Hemi guys and you'll get, "trade it in for a Hemi" but if you like the V6 but want more power, these are your options.

If you went back to the muscle car era- 1960's- early 1970's you are already getting V8 performance! 250 hp at the flywheel is equal to a 327 Chevy! In reality your car already would give a 1965 GTO or 442 Olds, 390 Fairlane and a lot of old so called muscle cars a real good run plus LX cars are heavy ass tanks. In 1970 if you had a 250 hp 6 cyl, well you'd be driving a Jaguar XKE.
