    SRT suspension upgrade ?

    SRT suspension upgrade ?
I've got an SRT setup I'm going to install on my SXT. The SRT struts did not come with the white bumpstops. My questions are:

    1) are there bumpstops on my SXT shocks? YES
    2) if there are, can these bumpstops be used on the SRT shocks? YES
    3) is trimming the bumpstops needed? NO

    Thanks!

    EDIT: Answered my own questions

    Bump.
Getting ready to do this & want to be sure I have everything. What I have on hand is in the pic. If you've done this let me know if it looks like everything needed is in the pic. Thanks!

I would remove your dust covers on the rear shocks and see if the bumpstops are there for the rear just to make sure they were not removed.
The front will have bumpstops and you should never trim them as they reduce the effectiveness of them. The bumpstops are designed to collapse and if you trim them you will take that ability away and create a possilbe situation where damage could result.

Got the full (including sways) SRT suspension put on. That along with the new 245/55/18 BFGs. She now rides like shes on rails. Its a tad more firm, but the stock suspension was shot after 100k miles of use as my company car, so now it handles like a new (and different) car. She really sticks in the corners now & no more back end roll. All in all, a great mod! Pics are from my cramped garage, no wide angles yet.

thinking of doing this but worried that the front end will actually rise instead of lower. the rear should lower approx. 1/2" but i'm thinking the front will rise because of the weight difference betwee a cast iron V8 and an aluminum V6. has anyone noticed ride height issues since doing this swap? how much has the ride height changed front and rear.

    thanks

I just did this swap and I gotta tell that the ride height dropped right around 0.5 to 0.7 inches, the rear drop is more. The biggest gains are in handling, the car is on rails for sure. I didnt really do this mod to get a drop per se. Just wanted a cheaper upgrade then coilovers. Overall, its awesome.

Did this on my R/T and it is sick.

Here's the after pic, but the set up had not settled.

It's settled quite a bit more now.

    I love this set up.

The ride is nice and crisp.

Turns are so much more fun.

Do it Fkny... you'll love it.

    Cheers,

What kind of cost is this setup?
Is it something a novice can do in the driveway?
    It's all about the fitness
